Hunter Park Play Dates:Play Day at Hunter Park

Play Day is every Tuesday from 1- 3 pm. Mom's come and fellowship, kids come and play. At this time, due to lack of interest and participation, there will be no alternate location for Play Day on rainy days. Since the weather is turning cold, play day will be held if it is 55F or above.

Skate Day:

Please join us for Skate Days on the third friday of each month from 1 - 3pm at Dazzles in Douglasville.All homeschoolers are welcome. The cost is $3 for WWCHE members and $4 for all nonmembers. This price includes the skate rental. The concessions offer a Skate Daydrink and hotdog for $1. WHAT A DEAL! Only Christian music is played while we enjoy fellowship with one another.

From I-20 take exit 37. Go South on Hwy 92/Fairburn Rd. At the 2nd traffic light, turn right onto Midway Rd. and then take the 1st right again. Dazzles will be on the right.

Homeschool Chess Club

We will meet on Friday's at the Douglas County Public Library (large Meeting room by the main desk) from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Club is for students age six to twelfth grade. All former students are encouraged to attend and help teach the new kids. Please bring a chess set and get ready to have fun playing a game that has been around for thousands of years and is played all over the world.

Classes

Winter/Spring Art Classes 2006

Leann Hopkins will be teaching art classes at her home on Thursdays, beginning January 12th for ages 4-12. All classes will be in eight-week sessions and cost $60.00 per student. The limit will be six students per class.

The eight week schedules will go as follows:

January 12th-March 2nd March 9th-May 4th

Field Trips

RINGLING BROS. AND BARNUM & BAILEY CIRCUS

This field trip is open to attending Wisdom's Way members and their guests only.

What: Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Circus-135th Edition
Where: Philips Arena
Cost: $11.00 per person (School group rate)
When: Friday, February 10, 2006 10:30 am

If you are interested in attending this field trip, please forward your name, and the number of people attending, along with a check, payable to W.W.C.H.E., representing full payment ($11.00 per person) to Terri Usher, 9525 Ephesus Church Road, Villa Rica, GA 30180 no later than Monday, December 12, 2005. Please note if anyone in your party needs specials accommodations, (Wheelchair, Visually, Hearing) so that appropriate provisions can be made for them.

Please note that children UNDER age two are FREE, but MUST sit on an adult lap. Children age two and up must purchase a ticket. Wheelchair/physical challenged seating is available throughout the Arena. The Arena will do their best to seat us as a group, but because special access seating is subject to availability, they cannot guarantee it. Special Events

Ladies Winter Tea

This event is open to attending Wisdom's Way members and their guests only.

You are cordially invited to attend this special Wisdom's Way event on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Douglasville.

Please bring your favorite teacup with you and expect to be blessed at this unique time of encouragement, fellowship and focus on the Lord. The evening, which will include door prizes, tea and finger foods, a time of worship and an encouraging speaker, is sure to bless you in a very special way.

Please send your checks, payable to W.W.C.H.E., in the amount of $5.00 per person, to Event Coordinator, Denise Swanson at 8129 S. Giles Road, Douglasville, Georgia, 30135. Please note that your registration must be postmarked no later than Monday, January 16, 2006, in order to reserve your space.

If you have a friend that is considering homeschooling, feel free to invite them to attend with you. If you have a family member who is interested in learning more about your homeschooling journey, please feel free to include them as well. Mentors, this is the perfect opportunity to spend time with your mentee, so please ask if she is able to join you.

Father/Daughter Dinner Dance

Date: Feb. 26, 2006
Where: Midway United Methodist Church
Time: 6 PM Theme: Mexican Fiesta
This will be our 4th annual event celebrating the special relationship between Fathers and their precious daughters. It will be an evening of food, festivities & "fiesta-ish" entertainment! There is no age requirements/limits on the ages of the daughters. However your family must be members of W.W.C.H.E. to attend and reservations are required.
