Groups and Activities
All WWCHE Groups/Activities will be led by Members in Good Standing and will endorse the WWCHE Statement of Faith, Statement of Philosophy, and By-laws.
Due to the nature of WWCHE events most groups/activities are open to members only. However, in an effort to reach out to the community, some events will be open to the guests of members. Please see the newsletter for details on these events. Hosting member family is responsible for each guest family, and there may be an additional charge for non-members. When space is limited, Wisdom’s Way members have priority.
WWCHE Groups/Activities are eligible for funding by a written request to the Board of Directors.
WWCHE Groups/Activities have access to advertising in the newsletter and
Calling Post messaging service.
WWCHE Sponsored Event Guidelines
- Be on time, 10-15 minutes early.
- If you cannot attend a field trip or other event after you have made a reservation, contact the person in charge, others may be on the waiting list.
- Respect speakers and tour guides by giving them your full attention.
- Use correct and polite language.
- Keep your children under control and within sight at all times. Be positive and pleasant when disciplining your children.
- Respect restrictions placed on the group by the sponsoring facility concerning the age of children, handling of objects/equipment, staying in designated areas and eating and drinking.
- If you are unable to accompany your child, you must make specific arrangements with another homeschool parent to be responsible for your child.
- Express appreciation for the activity in an appropriate manner. Thank you notes from children are a good teaching opportunity.
- Parents are solely responsible for their own safety and that of their children when attending group activities.
- When money is involved, please have the exact amount prepared ahead of time, in an envelope with your name, the number of adults and children participating, and the total amount you are paying written on the outside. Give this to the person coordinating the even/field trip.
